Imagine walking into the practice with failing or missing teeth, and walking out the same day with a confident new smile. That's exactly what All-on-4 makes possible.

All-on-4 is a remarkable form of full-arch implant dentistry that replaces an entire upper or lower set of teeth using just four carefully placed dental implants. A full set of new, fixed teeth can be attached on the same day - which is why it's often called "same day teeth" or "teeth in a day".

For patients who've lived with failing teeth, ill-fitting dentures or years of dental problems, All-on-4 offers something deeply meaningful - the ability to eat, smile and speak with full confidence again, often for the first time in many years. Patients regularly tell us it's the best decision they've ever made.

All-on-4 is a complex procedure that not all practices offer in-house. Our experienced implant team carries out the full process at Richmond Hill Dental, from initial 3D planning right through to your final fixed teeth - so you stay in familiar hands throughout.

All-on-4 is particularly well suited to patients who:

The clever bit is in the angle. Two of the four implants are tilted carefully to make use of the strongest, densest areas of your jawbone - which often means avoiding the need for bone grafting altogether. Once the implants are placed, a temporary fixed bridge of new teeth is attached the same day, allowing you to leave with a complete smile.

Every All-on-4 case is planned in remarkable detail using our in-house 3D CBCT scanner and digital iTero impressions. This lets us position every implant with extraordinary precision before any treatment begins - which means smoother surgery, better aesthetics and far fewer surprises.
All-on-4 is a carefully considered process, and we'll be alongside you every step of the way. Here's exactly how it works.

You'll meet our implant team for a dedicated consultation (£95), where we'll discuss your goals, examine your current situation, and explain whether All-on-4 is the right path for you.
We'll take a 3D scan of your jaw and digital impressions of your mouth, then plan every aspect of your treatment virtually before any surgery happens. You'll see exactly what's coming.
Some patients need preparatory work first - hygiene treatment, gum stabilisation, or careful management of any failing teeth. We'll never rush this stage.
On the day, any remaining failing teeth are gently removed, four implants are placed, and a fixed temporary bridge of new teeth is attached - all in one visit. Most patients have their treatment under IV sedation for maximum comfort.
Over the next three to six months, your implants integrate with your jawbone. You'll wear your fixed temporary teeth throughout this time, eating soft foods initially and gradually returning to normal.
Once your implants are fully integrated, we'll fit your final, beautifully crafted set of teeth - designed to look natural, feel comfortable and last for many years to come.

Most All-on-4 patients choose to have their surgery under IV sedation with Dr Frances Carling-Thom, who specialises in caring for nervous patients. You'll feel deeply relaxed throughout, and most patients remember very little of the procedure afterwards.

The differences are considerable. Where dentures sit on your gums and can move when you eat or speak, All-on-4 teeth are fixed firmly to implants - so they don't shift, click or fall out. They look more natural, function more like real teeth, and don't require adhesives.

We're a fully private practice with transparent, upfront pricing on every stage:

Is All-on-4 really finished in one day?
You'll leave with a full set of fixed teeth on the day of your surgery, yes. These are temporary teeth, designed to look and function beautifully while your implants integrate. Your final, permanent teeth are fitted three to six months later.
Will All-on-4 surgery be uncomfortable?
The area is fully numbed throughout, and most patients have their treatment under IV sedation, which means they remember very little of the appointment. Mild tenderness in the days afterwards is normal and settles quickly.
Can I eat normally with All-on-4 teeth?
Once you've fully healed, yes - you can eat almost everything you could with natural teeth. During the initial healing phase, we'll guide you through a gentle soft-food diet that protects your new teeth as they settle.
Will my new teeth look natural?
Yes - your new teeth are carefully designed to suit your facial features and preferences. We work closely with dental technicians to ensure a natural and confident result.
How long do All-on-4 implants last?
With good home care and regular hygiene visits, the implants themselves can last for decades. The fixed teeth on top may need replacing or refurbishing after 10 to 15 years, depending on wear and care.
What if I've been told I don't have enough bone?
That's exactly the kind of case All-on-4 is designed for. By tilting the back implants into the strongest areas of your jaw, we can often avoid the need for bone grafting - which means a simpler, faster path to your new smile.
